Dr. Harvey Cantor, MD

Dr. Harvey Cantor is the Baruj Benacerraf Professor of Immunology at Harvard Medical School and a senior faculty member at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. An internationally recognized immunologist, he is best known for defining distinct T cell subsets and pioneering the study of CD8⁺ regulatory T cells in maintaining immune tolerance. His research has shaped modern understanding of autoimmune disease, cancer immunology, and neuroinflammation.

Elected to the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, Dr. Cantor has received numerous honors, including the American Association of Immunologists’ Excellence in Mentoring Award.
